Job Description:
The EUV Source team at ASML in San Diego is seeking an Automation/Controls Engineer to support the development and integration of automation and control systems for the EUV light source. This role involves working in a dynamic environment to create innovative solutions that meet aggressive commercialization goals for EUV technology.
Responsibilities:
Lead integration activities, including designing and executing test plans and troubleshooting control systems for the EUV light source.
Provide technical ownership for control, optimization, or calibration subsystems, addressing critical technical issues independently.
Facilitate communication of technical issues across teams, serving as a central point of contact for engineers.
Monitor and report on system performance, identifying gaps and proposing improvements for stability and efficiency.
Plan and execute subsystem and system-level integration activities in laboratory and cleanroom environments.
Analyze test results using various engineering tools to ensure control functions meet performance requirements.
Prepare test summaries and qualification reports documenting results and recommendations.
Organize and lead team development and appraisals within the area of expertise.
Document work results with system requirements and design specifications.
Travel to customer sites for onsite support, including troubleshooting in cleanroom facilities, with potential international travel up to 20%.
Occasionally work afternoon, evening, or weekend shifts based on testing schedules.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Controls, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in automation and control systems, particularly in high-tech or semiconductor industries.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of control algorithms, automation, and data analysis tools.
Proficiency in troubleshooting complex systems and control loops.
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly across teams.
Experience with performance analysis and system optimization.
Familiarity with laboratory research and cleanroom environments.
