Automation OperatorThis position exists to operate various automated machinery for Bal Seal Engineering manufacturing clients.About Bal Seal: Bal Seal Engineering delivers advanced sealing, connecting, and contact solutions that serve medical, aerospace, energy, and industrial markets. Employees thrive in a culture that values craftsmanship, technical mastery, and close partnership with customers solving complex challenges.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesUses computer-controlled, and/or manually-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machinesControls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashionWorks under the close direction of tenured personnel in the functional areaPossesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the jobObserves while the machine is being repaired by a TechnicianObserves and follows all safety protocolsLearns the use of precision measuring toolsPerform daily housekeeping operations in the work area to maintain a safe workplacePerforms all job responsibilities while demonstrating ACE Values: Accountability by owning quality and production results, Collaboration by working effectively with team members and support groups, and Empowerment by taking initiative to solve problems and improve process.Education :High School Diploma or GED preferredExperience :1 years of automation operation experience preferred, not requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to promote and work in a highly collaborative environmentAbility to perform in a medium to fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements :Occasionally required to bend, stoop and squatFrequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 poundsRequired to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and productsMust be able to enter data into a computer by use of a keyboard and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her deskOccasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify informationWork Environment:The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment.
