nYou will also be able to continue to grow through our Technician Training Program, using classes from Ford, GMC and U-Haul itself. U-Haul will provide you with the tools needed to do your job. nAs a U-Haul Brake and Tire Technician, you will use U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. U-Haul will provide the support and tools you need to succeed and grow, so if you want a job with endless opportunities for career growth, apply today!
nBrake and Tire Technician Primary Responsibilities:
nnnSecure trucks on lifts and ramps.
n
nnPerform tire and brake maintenance.
n
nnMount, dismount, and balance tires.
n
nnOccasionally road test vehicles.
n
nnWork in a production line.
n
nnUse a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist
n
nnTeam Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
n
n nMinimum Qualifications:
nnnBasic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred
n
nnDriver’s license
n
nnThe ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
n
nnBasic computer skills
n
nnRegular attendance
n
n nWork Environment:The work involves manual labor and the ability to work safely and to be always alert. You may need to use protective clothing or gear like masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or face shields.

nSince 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
