nnWhat You’ll Donn
As a General Service Technician , you’ll help keep our customers safe on the road by performing:
nnn
nnnnTire mounting, dismounting, balancing & rotation
n
nnn
nnOil changes and other light vehicle maintenance
n
nnn
nnMulti-point inspections & documenting vehicle conditions
n
nnn
nnKeeping the shop clean, organized, and safe
n
nnn
nnRequires driving vehicles in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws
nnn
nnPick up Parts and supplies
nnn
Transport customers as needed
nn
n
nnn
Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor
nnn
nnSupporting team members with other assigned tasks
n
nnn
Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Handbook

nnQualifications: nn
✔ A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
n ✔ Some knowledge of basic automotive systems ()
n ✔ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
n ✔ Must be at least 18 years old
n ✔ High school diploma or equivalent ()
n ✔ Flexibility to work Saturdays (with Sundays off! )

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
nnn
The General Service Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.

The General Service Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

nnStand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
nnn
Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
nnn
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
nnn
Communicate with customers and shop personnel
nnn
Vision sufficient to detect , depth, and re-focus
nn
nnn

Previous automotive experience , but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars. Candidates must have a high level of motivation and be able to work in a fast-paced environment -- there is ALWAYS something to do.
