Job description
Automotive Lube Technician
Grand Island Motor Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Automotive Lube Technician to join our growing service department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the automotive industry while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional dealership environment.
As a Lube Technician, you will perform routine vehicle maintenance services, conduct vehicle inspections, and assist customers in maintaining their vehicles safely and efficiently. We offer paid training, advancement opportunities, and a clear path for growth into higher-level technician positions.

Responsibilities
Perform oil changes and routine maintenance services according to manufacturer specifications
Conduct comprehensive multi-point vehicle inspections
Inspect fluid levels and recommend maintenance services based on inspection findings
Check and adjust tire pressure as needed
Rotate, repair, and replace tires when appropriate
Perform fluid exchanges and flush services, including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid
Inspect belts, hoses, batteries, filters, brakes, and other vehicle components
Maintain accurate repair orders and inspection reports
Follow dealership safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Communicate vehicle findings and service recommendations to Service Advisors
Assist higher-level technicians when needed
Deliver quality workmanship and exceptional customer service
Qualifications
Previous Automotive Lube Technician experience preferred
Minimum one year of lube technician, maintenance technician, or automotive service experience preferred
Ability to perform oil changes, tire services, and routine vehicle maintenance
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Dependable work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desire to learn and grow within the automotive industry
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
