nLower Bay Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and are responsible for timely and accurate service to ensure our guests’ of quality workmanship. They assist the Lube Technician to perform Jiffy Lubes’ Signature Service Oil Change as well as (under chassis) drive train fluid services. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program. We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses.

nQualifications
nPrevious experience is preferred with a minimum of 1-year on the job training working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube. However, we will consider a strong candidate with some automotive experience or Vo-Tech training.
nJob Duties Include, but are not limited to…
nnnPerform Jiffy Lubes Signature Service Oil Change together with the Lube Technicians
n
nnService under chassis fluids, grease fittings, fuel filter, and other minor services
n
nnInspect vehicle for leaks and safety issues, remove and secure skid plate
n
nnMaintain and service drain pans, catwalk and ensure basement is clean and presentable
n
n nOnce you’ve become certified, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities and training in other positions (Lube Technician, Plus Tech-Mechanic, and Service Advisor).

n nPhysical Qualifications
nLower Bay Technicians must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.
nOther physical qualifications…
nnnMust be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment
n
nnMust be able to lift and move work-related items up to 25 pounds
n
nnMust be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed
n
n nRequirements
