Fox Motors has an Automotive Parts Advisor opening in Grand Rapids, MI at Fox Mazda. You would contribute to our overall vision, "Working together moving people throughout life," by developing and maintaining trust with our customers and internal team that will build long-term relationships.
nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
nThe Parts Advisor is a trusted expert that plays an active role in the parts department's success. As a Parts Advisor, you are responsible for assisting and selling parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone. nKey responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.
nnAssists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
nInforms customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
nAnswers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
nReviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
nNotifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
nNotifies the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered.
nFollows up on back-ordered parts.
nAssists outside sales representatives with their orders.
nEnsures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
nIssues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
nSets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
nKeeps current on new products and product updates.
n nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE
nnHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
nExperience and desire to work with technology to drive an exceptional customer experience.
nExcellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
nAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effective.
