Automotive Technician A or B+ Level - $30-$55/Flagged Hour - Mon-Fri
Location: Grantville, PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.M.-5:00 p.M.
Pay Rate: $30-$55 per flagged hour, based on technician level and experience, plus production bonuses
Pay Type: Flat rate
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Typical Flagged Hours: 50 per week
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Grantville, PA for an all-makes-and-models independent repair shop. This opportunity is open to A-Level technicians with advanced diagnostic capabilities and strong B+ Level technicians who can handle substantial repairs independently. The shop offers a Monday-Friday schedule, a climate-controlled facility, modern diagnostic equipment, steady vehicle volume, and production incentives.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using professional diagnostic equipment
Perform engine and transmission removal and replacement
Diagnose CAN bus and vehicle communication network concerns
Use oscilloscopes, scan tools, and related diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
Complete repairs accurately and efficiently with a focus on quality and minimizing comebacks
Maintain strong productivity in a flat-rate environment
Service and repair primarily domestic and Asian vehicles, with limited European vehicle work
Document inspections, repair findings, and recommendations in Tekmetric
Qualifications
Experience working in an independent automotive repair shop
Pennsylvania state inspection license(s) required
Advanced diagnostic capabilities for A-Level consideration
Moderate diagnostic skills and the ability to complete substantial repairs independently for B+ Level consideration
Experience with engine and transmission removal and replacement
Experience diagnosing CAN bus concerns and using oscilloscopes and automotive scan tools
ASE certifications preferred
Compensation & Benefits
A-Level Technician: $40-$55 per flagged hour, depending on experience
B+ Level Technician: $30-$40 per flagged hour, depending on experience
Typical production: 50 flagged hours per week
Additional $2.00 per flagged hour at 50+ flagged hours
Additional $5.00 per flagged hour at 60+ flagged hours
Weekly pay
Shop covers 75% of medical insurance, including family coverage
40 hours of PTO after 90 days
80 hours of PTO after one year
Six major paid holidays after 90 days
Uniform shirts provided
$0.50 pay increase for each ASE certification passed
$1.00 pay increase for each ASE L1 or L2 certification passed
Toolbox relocation reimbursement after 90 days

Work Monday through Friday in a climate-controlled, 9-bay, 9-lift facility averaging approximately 60 vehicles per week. Technicians have access to Launch, Snap-on, and Autel diagnostic equipment, a Hunter alignment rack, and Tekmetric for shop management and digital vehicle inspections.
Tech Fix training is available, along with production incentives and ASE-related pay increases. The team also hosts events throughout the year, including a Christmas party, pumpkin carving, and a Fourth of July event.
