The Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure optimum performance and safety. Working both independently and as part of a technician team, this role involves utilizing dealership-specific diagnostic tools to conduct thorough inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs. Reporting directly to the shop manager, the technician focuses on delivering high-quality service without travel requirements. There are clear opportunities for skill advancement and progression toward becoming a master technician.
Responsibilities
Perform engine diagnostics to identify faults and issues
Conduct brake system repairs and replacements
Repair electrical systems and wiring
Carry out vehicle inspections for safety and compliance
Replace worn or damaged parts efficiently
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and performance
Perform engine replacement and major mechanical repairs
Qualifications
2+ years experience in automotive repair
Valid driver’s license
Proficient in engine diagnostics and brake systems
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
Strong problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
