Job description
Key Responsibilities
nnnPerform and oversee scheduled and unscheduled inspections of company aircraft to ensure safety, compliance, and readiness.
n
nnEnforce adherence to company policies, maintenance procedures, and FARs across all line operations.
n
nnPartner with the Chief of Maintenance and Technicians to support daily operations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance of all maintenance activities.
n
nnDevelop, schedule, and oversee training programs for maintenance staff; provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
n
nnMonitor, track, and ensure compliance with all Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and OEM inspection program requirements.
n
nnAnalyze and trend aircraft component, accessory, and appliance data; submit findings to OEMs or FAA as required.
n
nnLead audits of third-party maintenance providers to verify compliance and quality of outsourced work.
n
nnEnsure inspections, repairs, and documentation are performed by qualified personnel and meet regulatory standards.
n
nnOversee the designation and performance of Required Inspection Item (RII) Inspectors.
n
nnInspect aircraft parts, components, and documentation as needed to validate serviceability and compliance.
n
nnMaintain technical libraries, including MELs, LOAs, and other compliance documentation, ensuring documents remain current.
n
nnSupervise and direct personnel assigned to inspection and maintenance functions, ensuring safe use of shop equipment and proper calibration of tools and gauges.
n
nnOversee the calibration program for special measurement tools, equipment, and gauges in compliance with FARs.
n
nnRepresent the maintenance team on the Lowe’s Safety Committee, ensuring integration of quality assurance practices within the company’s Safety Management System.
n
n nRequired Qualifications
nnnHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
n
nnMinimum 5 years’ experience in the Aviation Quality/Inspection Area with a large organization
n
nn10 years of aircraft maintenance or equivalent management experience
n
nn3 Years Year experience managing, supervising and/or directing Aviation Technicians
n
nnWorking knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations
n
nnFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P).
n
nnFAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
n
nnStrong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and OEM inspection programs.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnnPossess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P), Inspectors Authorization (IA)
n
nnDemonstrated ability to conduct audits, trend analysis, and compliance reviews.
n
nnStrong Leadership, Communication, and organizational skills with proven ability to manage teams and coordinate across departments.
