nThis role is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas. This position will require travel both to US and international customers to present aircraft courses.

nAvionics Technical Instructor - Bell Training Academy

nThe Bell Training Academy is looking for a self-starter to teach Bell electrical, Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), and Avionics courses at our Fort Worth facility. This position will require travel both to US and international customers to present our courses.

nWe are looking for an experienced technician that has a high degree of knowledge maintaining aircraft electrical and avionics and autopilot systems.

nPreferred candidates will have Bell Helicopter experience or experience working for an Operator or at a Bell Service Center. They will have experience maintaining but not limited to the following systems: electrical power production and distribution, starting, lighting, heating and air conditioning, instruments, crew alerting, Autopilot, and avionics.

nYou'll have experience maintaining but not limited to the following systems: GPS, VOR/ILS, Altimeters, Transponders, Marker Beacon, Pitot Static Systems, VHF communication radios, Intercom systems, hydraulics, fuel, powerplant and transmission indicating systems.

nThis role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers and fellow instructors.

nWhat you'll be doing as an Avionics Technical Instructor:

nnnPrepare classroom for each class and deliver the presentation of the course materials to the customers.

n

nnMaintain the Bell Training Academy shop areas in a clean and orderly appearance.

n

nnDevelop and deliver specialized courses for customers.

n

nnDevelop a rapport with the customer base to include US based and international customers.

n

nnWork with the Training Support Development team to update courseware or build courseware as needed.

n

nnTravel required to present aircraft courses both in the US and Internationally (15%).

n

n nQualifications

nSkills You Bring to This Role:

nnnHigh school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

n

nnMust possess an FCC General Radio Telephone license and/or Airframe certificate.

n

nnAt least 2 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting avionics, electrical and autopilot systems on helicopters or fixed wing aircraft.

n

nnSelf-starter, outgoing people person, with great presentation skills.

n

nnSkilled at using MS Office software.

n

nnAbility to prioritize work, strong customer comes first attitude, and a positive team player.

n

nnExcellent communicator that must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, and brief leaders/peers.

n

nnProficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is preferred.

n

n nPhysical Requirements:

nnnMust be physically capable of working on and around aircraft.

n

nnAble to climb ladders, stairs, and work stands; kneel, squat, sit, crawl, bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods.

n

nnMust be able to stand for prolonged durations.

n

nnAbility to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., including overhead, and team lift up to 50 lbs.

n

nnExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.

n

nnGood vision with ability to focus on small details and identify defects.

n

nnMust remain vigilant and adhere to all workplace safety protocols.
