AWS Certified Welder (Contract)Position Title: AWS Certified Welder Location: Auburn Hills, MI ? Holland, MI Duration: 1-Week Contract Start Date: Immediate / Project-BasedPosition OverviewSeeking an experienced AWS Certified Welder to support a short-term industrial automation and manufacturing project. This position will begin in Auburn Hills, Michigan and conclude in Holland, Michigan over a one-week project duration.The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial, manufacturing, machine tool, or automation environments and be capable of producing high-quality welds while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and/or TIG welding on manufacturing and automation equipment componentsRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsFabricate, fit, and weld structural steel and equipment assembliesVerify weld quality and dimensional accuracyUtilize grinders, cutting tools, and fabrication equipment as requiredSupport installation and modification activities during project executionMaintain compliance with customer safety requirements and welding standardsWork independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced industrial environmentRequired QualificationsCurrent AWS Welding Certification (Required)Proven experience in industrial welding, fabrication, or manufacturing environmentsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and weld drawingsExperience with MIG welding (TIG experience preferred)Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to travel between Auburn Hills and Holland, Michigan during the projectMust possess basic hand tools and appropriate PPEPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting automation, machine tool, or automotive manufacturing projectsPrevious experience working on-site at manufacturing facilitiesMulti-process welding experienceCompensationCompetitive hourly rate based on experiencePotential travel reimbursement/per diem (if applicable)Overtime opportunities may be available based on project needs
