Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect for a client in the manufacturing industry. This individual will design and refine scalable, secure Azure-based cloud architectures and translate business requirements into practical cloud reference designs, blueprints, and reusable patterns. The role will lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, support M&A integration efforts, and collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure Azure cloud architectures.
Assess current environments and define target-state cloud architectures.
Lead cloud migration, modernization, and application re-platforming initiatives.
Support cloud strategy and integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.
Partner with product owners, application teams, and infrastructure teams to define requirements and solution approaches.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and GitHub-based workflows.
Improve CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
Collaborate with Information Security and Risk teams to incorporate security, governance, and Zero Trust principles into cloud solutions.
Monitor workload performance, availability, resiliency, and cloud costs while promoting FinOps best practices.
Present architecture recommendations and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor engineers and architects on cloud technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security.
Experience with DevOps and automation tools including GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible.
Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, routing, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking.
Experience designing highly available and disaster-resilient architectures.
Experience leading cloud migration and modernization projects.
Experience with cloud security, compliance, governance, identity management, and Zero Trust principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Manufacturing industry experience.
Knowledge of Well-Architected Frameworks and multi-tenant architectures.
Experience supporting cloud strategy for M&A integrations.
