BakerLocation: Baylor UniversityWe are hiring immediately for full-time BAKER positions. Address: Baylor University - 1120 South 5th, Waco, TX 76706. Schedule may vary. Monday–Thursday: 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Friday: 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Requirement: Must have previous baking experience. Pay Range: $16.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour.Applications are accepted ongoing until all openings are filled for this position. If an applicant is declined due to the position being filled, they may still be considered for future opportunities and are always welcome to reapply.Job SummaryPrepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. Essential duties and responsibilities include:Baking breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets; assists in production planning to meet daily requirements.Ensuring proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment.Assisting with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; informs supervisor when supplies are low.Ensuring proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.Maintaining sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.Handling food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.Cleaning equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Keeping display equipment clean and free of debris.Interacting with customers and resolving customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner. Relaying relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors.Consistently exhibiting the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.Checking to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.Following principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed.Completing shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards.Performing other duties as assigned.The benefits include opportunities for training and development, retirement plan, associate shopping program, health and wellness programs, discount marketplace, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and voluntary benefits.
