BakerAlternate Ending Beer Co is a brewpub that serves high hydration sourdough pan pizza, housemade desserts including laminated pastries and ice cream, and other high quality pub food made with thoughtful seasonal ingredients. The successful candidate will have a hands-on work ethic, energy, passion, creativity, and the desire to learn, grow and contribute. This position is part-time with the potential for full-time if desired.This Job Position Offers:Competitive hourly payAll levels of experience welcome and neededPart time and full time schedules availableOption to learn more about pastry and artisan sourdough bread makingIngredient focused (high-quality, local, & organic when possible, etc.)Great opportunity to work with a wonderful, creative, talented teamWork for a small owner-operated business with the best, most supportive teamOpportunity for growth within the company!Partially paid medical for full-time employeesPosition Requirements:Great attitude, team mentalityLove of food and hospitality1+ years in the restaurant industry preferred but not required5am start time availability (Morning people, this one's for you!)Weekend and holiday availabilityKnowledge of baking techniques, basic sourdough knowledge is a plus!Ability to read and follow a recipeBasic culinary math skills, with knowledge of bakers' mathLifting 50+ lbs, standing, navigating stairs, working in a kitchen with gluten and other allergensBake multiple types of sourdough and yeasted breads dailyDaily pastry productionLearning and maintaining bread recipes, techniques, and standardsReading and adhering to cleaning and safety protocolsBeing a team player, helping other departments with prep work, cleaning, etc...Attending meetings, trainings, and focusing on continuing educationAnalyzing mistakes, finished products, and daily tasks, to maintain and improve quality of each bakeWork with team to create specials and specialty itemsWork holidays, weekends and maintain a flexible scheduleLines of communication:Kyle Head ChefRyan Sous ChefInterviews to start immediately.
