Baking HistorySummary of Role: Assist with mixing and preparing baked goods including but not limited to breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, and Danish.Hours:Full timeDays vary, Sunday - Friday (off Saturdays)Shifts vary: 3:00 pm - 1:00 amOvertime is mandatory on an as needed basis - especially leading up to holidaysJob Duties:Prepare breads and rolls by kneading and molding bread dough into loaves or desired shapesPrepare and/or apply toppings, fillings, icings, etc. to baked goodsOperate large scale bakery equipment such as mixers and various ovensMake sure all details are done and the work is exactComply with Good Manufacturing ProceduresUnderstand and follow HACCPComply with Busken Employee handbookCarry out other duties as assigned by leadership and abide by the Busken PromiseQualifications:Minimum education: High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience in baking or food manufacturing environment preferableAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basisStrong math skillsAbility to repeat the same physical activities, such as kneading and rolling dough, standing, bending/stooping, lifting and twisting for 8 or more hours at a timeAvailable to work early mornings, late evenings, holidays and weekendsAbility to handle exposure to very hot or cold temperaturesMake repetitive motions and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work in a fast paced, high volume production environmentStrong verbal communication skillsSelf motivated, going from one task to the other without being given directionStrong sense of ownership and desire to create quality productsBusken Bakery, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on skill and experience along with health, dental, 401K and other benefits.
