Bakery AssociateShifts will be closing; start times ranging from 11:30am to 4:00pm until 8:00pm. For the Bakery Associate, this means delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the quality, freshness, and presentation of all baked goods, and supporting the daily operations of the bakery with care, attention to detail, and cleanliness.Your day-to-day:Provide friendly, helpful service while asking questions or taking orders to all customers in person and over the phoneGreet and thank customers to create a welcoming shopping experienceAssist with packaging and displaying fresh baked goods, ensuring quality and presentationStay informed about bakery products, pricing, and current promotionsRotate and stock products to maintain freshness and keep displays full and organizedHelp with basic baking tasks like setting up cookies, muffins, or making donutsMaintain cleanliness of all bakery areas, including dishes, equipment, and display casesSupport bakers and decorators as needed, including receiving deliveries and preparing items for saleIf assigned; write on cakes, finish cakes and donuts for display.If assigned; make apple cider donuts.Assist Bakers/Decorators/Porter as needed throughout your shiftWhat you bring to the Farm:Knowledge or willingness to learn all bakery goods being sold to better assist customers.Willingness to learn and demonstrate Adams' culture and valuesWillingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managersExhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams' products and qualityWorking conditions:Must be 18 years oldConsistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to remain in a stationary position for duration of shiftOccasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladderRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shiftCommunicate with others to exchange informationMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spacesAccess to coolers and freezers within the Bakery.Access to garbage and cardboard compactor/crusher.Move and work quickly and productively with other coworkers.Follow all department safety policy and procedures.Perks of the job: At Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits.
