Band Saw OperatorAluminum Precision Products (APP) is an international leader in manufacturing aluminum forgings. Here you'll be challenged on a daily basis, tasked with solving problems, working with smart, energetic, and dedicated people with an opportunity to grow and learn.Job Summary:We are looking for a BAND SAW OPERATOR that can start working right away. We will train a person to inspect, set-up, measure, and remove excess flash from processed forged metal parts to minimize the final repair effort.Job Requirements:Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment.Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time as it is critical to meet production needs.Inspect machinery to ensure that it is in working order, making adjustments/replacements as necessary.Perform preventive maintenance as specified.Position parts on saw bed, offloads and stacks material in accordance with established procedures.Inspect forged parts visually and by touch for excessive metal.Maintain accurate part and/or work piece counts.Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers.Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.Skill Requirements:Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.This position may require access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
