Bank Teller
Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22407
Pay Rate: Starting at $23.28/hour
Schedule: Monday-Saturday (one weekday off when scheduled to work Saturday)
Work Environment: On-site branch setting
About the Role
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Bank Teller to provide exceptional service to members while assisting with a variety of financial products and services. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working directly with customers, handling financial transactions, and identifying solutions that help meet members' needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service to members and prospective members.
Process financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and account maintenance.
Assist members with checking, savings, certificate, IRA, trust, and estate accounts.
Educate members on available banking products and services.
Support lending-related inquiries and assist with credit and debit card services.
Build strong relationships by understanding member needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
Perform data entry and administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, and security standards.
Meet service and sales goals while creating a positive member experience.
Qualifications
Previous customer-facing experience required.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Banking, credit union, financial services, or retail sales experience is a plus.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable engaging with people and initiating conversations.
Confident, solutions-oriented, and able to handle objections professionally.
Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Preferred Background
Teller experience
Retail banking or financial services experience
Customer service, sales, or account management experience
Experience handling cash and balancing transactions
Knowledge of financial products and services

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.28 - $23.28/hr.
