Job description
St. Andrew's Episcopal School is seeking a visionary and dynamic Varsity Head Baseball Coach and Program Director for the school year. This part-time position offers a tremendous opportunity to build upon a strong baseball program at a leading independent school in one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities. The successful candidate will report directly to the Athletic Directors and collaborate closely with the entire Athletic Department to provide high-quality baseball experience for students and families.We will give preference to candidates with previous head coaching experience and/or significant leadership experience in a high-quality program. The next Baseball Program Director must exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, leadership, and sportsmanship. Above all, this individual should enjoy working with adolescent athletes, understand the importance and impact of mentorship, led by example, and support student-athletes in developing strong character and values.To learn more about our athletics program, please visit our athletics website:
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience working with and developing baseball programs and players and advanced knowledge and understanding of technical and strategic aspects of baseball.
Experience working within a team environment at the high school or collegiate level with the ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaching staff, and parents. A desire to build and maintain strategic relationships with local athletic organizations is also essential.
Demonstrated ability to teach, lead, and motivate student-athletes.
Proven organizational and management skills.
A strong desire to collaborate with the Middle School program to develop and strengthen the overall baseball program for students in grades 5-12.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Candidates are encouraged to include film or video footage of their previous teams with their application.
