Batch Plant OperatorThe Batch Plant Operator is responsible for accurately batching concrete, operating equipment, and supporting daily plant operations. This role works closely with Production and Quality teams while maintaining safety standards and troubleshooting issues to ensure efficient, high-quality output.Safety is our highest priority. Union employee benefits are provided through separate collective bargaining agreements.Coordinate with Production and Quality Control to ensure accurate batching and documentation.Operate batching equipment, forklifts, loaders, trucks, and crane-ways.Perform routine preventative maintenance in partnership with Maintenance.Order and manage materials for batch plant operations.Schedule and coordinate deliveries with external vendors.Follow and enforce all safety procedures and policies.Batch concrete accurately based on job specifications.Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous process improvements.Perform basic calculations for mix designs and material quantities.Maintain cleanliness of the mixer area and inspect equipment regularly.We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Batch Plant Operator who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot issues while working both independently and as part of a team.Ideal candidate will have:High school diploma or GED requiredStrong communication skills to work effectively with team members and leadershipBasic math skills, including ability to read a tape measureAbility to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficientlySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn and operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranesKnowledge of materials and products used in batching operationsAdaptable and open to process improvements and operational changesAbility to lead with professionalism, respect, and accountabilityWorking conditions/physical requirements:Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm useCapable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hoursComfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequentlyAbility to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazardsWillingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location)Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.This profile summarizes key duties and expectations but does not list every possible job task.
