Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post.Job DescriptionIn this role, you will work actively in a laboratory/pilot line setting on a diverse, multi-functional team producing development-level battery cells to progress our Battery Technology that will be deployed in our next generation electrified vehicles. This will be a very hands-on opportunity with most time spent out at the Pilot Line working with the manufacturing equipment.ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively in a prototype lab with scientists and engineers to make battery cells from raw materials.Operate state-of-the-art production-level battery cell manufacturing equipment through all stages of cell manufacturing – Hands-OnEnsure inventory in-place to conduct development buildsConduct quality inspections on parts you've just producedCollaborate with the quality team to ensure full suite of quality checks are conducted and learnings are fed back to cell build teamDrive continuous improvement of operations and processSupport establishment of procedures and documentation of lessons learnedMinimum Education RequiredHigh School/GEDJob CategoryManufacturingAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualificationsHigh School DiplomaMotivated self-starter and creative problem solverWillingness to be in a hands-on role and learn to operate cell manufacturing equipmentAbility to effectively collaboratePreferred QualificationsExperience in Lithium Ion Battery or Electric Vehicle developmentOutstanding organizational and communication skillsExperience in Production or Prototype manufacturing environmentAbility to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office tools suiteCity*DearbornState*MichiganJob CodeManufacturing ManufacturingCompanyFord Motor Company
