Overview
We are seeking a Bazel Build Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable build systems using Bazel. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in optimizing build performance, supporting large monorepo-based codebases, and integrating build processes into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires strong collaboration with development teams and a deep understanding of build tooling and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain build systems using Bazel.
Optimize build performance and reliability across large codebases.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate Bazel into workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve build-related issues.
Automate build and deployment processes.
Ensure build systems are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
Monitor and improve build system performance and observability.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience with Bazel in production environments.
Strong understanding of build and release processes.
Proficiency in Rust or C/C++.
Experience with CI/CD platforms and tools (e.g., GitLab, GitLab Runners).
Experience developing tools for large monorepo-based codebases.
Familiarity with Remote Execution Platforms.
Experience with bash scripting and writing Makefiles.
Knowledge of linkers and their configurations, especially in Bazel-based builds.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
