Job description
Overview
nWe are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic team member to support a safe and engaging environment for children during before and after school care hours. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, helping maintain structure, and creating a positive experience for families.
nHours would be 7:30am-9:30am and 4:15pm-6:15pm Monday-Friday
nResponsibilities
nnSupervise children during before and after school care programs
nSupport a safe, welcoming, and organized environment
nLead age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment opportunities
nAssist with arrival, dismissal, transitions, and daily routines
nEncourage positive behavior and respectful interactions
nCommunicate effectively with families, staff, and children
nFollow all safety procedures, site policies, and program guidelines
nHelp maintain clean and orderly program spaces
n nQualifications
nnExperience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, or similar setting preferred
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills
nAbility to remain patient, attentive, and organized in a busy environment
nReliable and punctual with the ability to work scheduled part-time hours
nComfortable supervising groups of children with care and professionalism
nAbility to follow directions and work collaboratively with others
n nPreferred Skills
nnKnowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
nExperience with behavior support and positive guidance techniques
nFirst aid or CPR certification
nBackground in education, childcare, or youth programming
