Job description
Position Summary:
Okemos Community Education is seeking a dedicated and energetic Site Director for our Before and Aftercare program. The Site Director plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for school-age children. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure high-quality care and adherence to licensing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead age-appropriate, engaging activities
Create a positive, inclusive environment for students and families
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians
Ensure compliance with all state licensing and program standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Support students' individual needs and promote positive behavior
Perform other duties as assigned by program administration
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of480 hoursof experience working with school-age children in a licensed program
Completion of at least 15 clock hours, 1 semester, or 1.5 CEUs of documented school-age training
Prior experience in a licensed childcare setting, specifically with school-age children
Flexible and reliable work schedule
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
