Job description
Location: Northern Michigan | Traverse City, Cadillac, Houghton Lake & Grayling
Setting: Hybrid - Community-based | Office | Remote
Travel: ~3 days/week in the field | Mileage Reimbursement / Agency Vehicle Available
We're seeking a BCBA to provide behavioral assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical support for individuals receiving community-based services. The caseload is primarily individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), with some co-occurring mental health needs.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related field
Active Michigan BCBA certification
Experience developing and implementing Behavior Support/Treatment Plans
Experience working with individuals with IDD and/or mental health needs
Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Ability to travel throughout the Northern Michigan service area
What You'll Do
Conduct behavioral assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Support & Treatment Plans
Complete regular site visits to AFC homes, residential settings, and community placements
Observe implementation and provide staff coaching and behavioral consultation
Train caregivers and direct care staff on behavioral interventions and de-escalation strategies
Review data and modify plans based on progress and clinical observations
Support individuals with higher-risk behaviors, including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and property destruction
Participate in person-centered planning and maintain compliant clinical documentation
