Behavior Specialist (Social Worker/Counselor)
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Behavior Specialist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.
Job Description:
Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School
Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location
Contract through the 2026/2027 school year: 16 – 24 hours per week
Contract follows the academic district calendar
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (master's preferred)
Must have a valid license as a LPC or LSW
Must have a Valid Ohio Licensure
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Essential Functions:
Conduct behavioral assessments
Develop and implement individualized behavior plans
Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
Train and support staff and families
Maintain documentation and reports
Pay:
$816 – $1,296 per week
