nAtlantis Positive Behavior Services is a small business in Culpeper, VA serving clients in Culpeper and surrounding counties. nThis is a position working in client homes with children who have autism and other behavioral needs. The primary responsibility is working directly with the children on a regular basis, utilizing a program of applied behavior analysis to reduce the occurrences of challenging behaviors and reinforce pro-social behaviors. We're looking for an individual who is committed to improving the lives of others, enjoys working with people, and has excellent interpersonal skills.

nResponsibilities:

nProvide individual treatment for individuals aged up to 21 years old.

nImplement learning programs under the supervision of a BCBA, collect data on target behaviors, type session notes after completion of each session.

nDeliver skills instruction to clients based upon the principles of applied behavior analysis.

nCollaborate with caregivers to evaluate and modify the behavior of children with special needs.

nAssist in providing training and guidance to parents, and other caregivers to help children overcome problems with communication, social skills, attention, or sensory integration.

nCommunicate with therapists and other professionals on the child's progress.

nAttend initial and ongoing training provided by Atlantis PBS.

nMeet with Supervisor routinely to discuss needs and progress of treatment.

nQualifications and Skills:

nRBT strongly preferred (will provide paid training toward certification)

nHigh School Diploma required; College Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred

nWillingness/ability to earn RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification

nHard working with strong interpersonal skills and great attention to detail

nDemonstration of a passion for exceeding expectations

nEffective communication skills and attention to detail

nOpen availability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our clients

nAccess to laptop/tablet for completion of online training, typing session notes, virtual meetings

nRequirements:

nMust have or be willing to obtain RBT credential.

nBilingual (English and Spanish) strongly encouraged to apply due to current client needs

nMust live in the general posted area and be available for in-person services

nMust have valid driver's license and be able to drive self to work locations (it is typical to serve multiple clients in one day)

nStrong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving

nCompletion of all training requirements (provided by APBS)

nCompensation:

n$20-27 based upon experience

nAdditional $1 per hour upon successful completion of RBT exam

nAdditional $1 per hour for dual/multiple language speakers when utilizing ability

nAfter one year of employment, employees become eligible to be paid salary vs hourly

nJob Type:

nPart-time with potential of full time

n(Part time: 12-25 hours weekly / Full time: 25-30 hours weekly)
