nPosition Overview: A Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for assisting behavioral analysis teams in evaluating mental health patients and their conditions over a certain timeframe. Their duties include adhering to behavioral health plans developed by other mental health professionals to provide patients with beneficial care, interviewing patients at their home or healthcare facility, and drafting reports to relay their progress to senior mental health professionals.
nWe are currently seeking Behavior Technicians who excel in carrying out training plans for clients with a wide variety of needs. The successful candidate will work directly with the behavioral analysis team to implement behavior improvement plans for clients with disabilities. Additionally, we're looking for individuals who have experience assessing, monitoring, and modifying behaviors in individual and small-group settings.
nKey Responsibilities:
nBe able to complete a 40 hour training class, pass oral competancy exam, and pass the state licensing exam to become a Registered Behavior technician within 90 days of employment.
nProvide direct ABA services to clients.
nBuild rapport with clients to facilitate implementation of programs as designed by a BCBA.
nCollect data on client progress to assist BCBA in program development.
nWrite detailed and timely notes on client progress to assist in client program evaluation.
nConduct behavior and program evaluations.
nExhibit patience when manging client behaviors.
nProvide valuable feedback to assist BCBA with parent education.
nAttend staff and program meetings.
nQualifications:
nPrevious work experience as an RBT preferred but not required
nRBT Certification (if you are not certified please apply to our behavior technician (BT) position).
nAbility to empathize with patients and their family members.
nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
nAbility to remain professional in high-stress situations.
nExcellent written communication skill.
