nBeachmont Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. In this role, you will work directly with children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them build communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

nWhat You'll Do
nImplement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
nTeach communication, social, self-help, and daily living skills
nCollect behavioral data and complete session documentation
nCollaborate with families and clinical supervisors
nHelp individuals increase independence and improve their overall quality of life

nThis is a hands-on behavioral health position. Many clients receive ABA services because they engage in behaviors that interfere with learning, safety, relationships, or independence. Behavior Technicians should expect to work with individuals who may exhibit:
nElopement (running away)
nTantrums
nAggression, including hitting, pushing, pinching, scratching, kicking, or biting
nProperty destruction
nSelf-injurious behavior
nRefusal or non-compliant behaviors
nEmotional regulation challenges
nThe goal of ABA is not to punish behavior but to teach meaningful replacement skills that help individuals communicate effectively, achieve greater independence, and experience a better quality of life.

nRemain patient and composed during challenging situations and can respond professionally when clients engage in behaviors such as tantrums, aggression, or emotional dysregulation.

nAre coachable and open to feedback, recognizing that ongoing training, supervision, and skill development are essential components of the role.

nPhysical Requirements
nFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor
nAbility to move quickly to maintain client safety
nWorking in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings
nParticipation in role-play and hands-on training activities
nPaid Training Provided
nAll newly hired Behavior Technicians complete Beachmont's paid 6-day training program, which includes:

nReinforcement, Prompting, and Teaching Strategies
nSkill Acquisition and Behavior Reduction Procedures
nData Collection and Documentation
nEthics and Professional Conduct
nIn-Person Skills Competency Practicum
nTraining includes online learning, instructor-led training, role-play opportunities, and competency assessments.
nQualifications
nRequired:
nHigh School Diploma or GED
n18+ Years Old
nReliable transportation
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills
nAbility to receive coaching and feedback
nAbility to pass a background check
nPreferred:
nExperience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
nBackground in education, childcare, psychology, healthcare, or behavioral health
