nGenerations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers.

nOur Community - Generations Family Health Center:

nLocation: Putnam & Willimantic, CT

nBehavioral Health Medical Director / Psychiatrist Role:

nnnResponsible for providing coordinated psychiatric services to patients utilizing the clinical services of Generations Family Health Center.

n

nnClinical services provided shall include routine and crisis adult and pediatric care as assigned.

n

nnThe scope of practice includes evaluation, diagnosis, medication assessments and adjustment, patient education, and treatment planning.

n

nnThe Behavioral Health Medical Director will be knowledgeable about agency and clinical policies, keep all patient information confidential, and shall assume responsibility for the development and realization of an individual ongoing care plan for all patients.

nnAs Medical Director for the BH Department, you are medically responsible for the delivery of health care for the Behavioral Health Dept., including direct oversight of the medication management providers.

n

nnThe Behavioral Health Medical Director works closely with the BH Leadership team to reach department and organizational goals.

n

n nQualifications

nQualifications:

nnnM.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school

n

nnResidency trained from an accredited institution

n

nnBoard certified or eligible in Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry

n

nnEligible for Connecticut licensure & federal/state-controlled substance licenses

n

n nCompensation:

nnnPsychiatrist: $255,000 - $285,000 (based on applicable experience)

n

nnBehavioral Health Medical Director: $275,000 - $305,000 (based on applicable experience)

n

n nBilingual Stipend for Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency (upon passing proficiency assessment)

nnLead a dynamic team of Behavioral Health Professionals of varying license & experience levels

nnOpportunity to develop psychiatric teaching partnerships

nnCollaboration with Clinical Therapist team

nnDynamic clinical support team including RNs, LPNs & MAs

n

nnSupport staff for scheduling, referral management & care coordination team

n

nnPartner with Medical Department on patient care

nnOn-call covered by therapist team with Medical Director support as needed (minimal, phone only)
