Pediatric Psychiatric Facility Behavioral Health TechAverage daily census: 30. Ratio: 1:4 day/weekend, 1:6 night. Years of experience required: 1. First-timers accepted: Yes. Certifications required: BLS, MANDT/CPI (must have to submit). Skills required: Cardiac arrest/CPR. Skills preferred: Inpatient, Pediatrics/Adolescents, Anxiety disorders, Assaultive behavior, Bipolar disorders/Manic depressive illness, Congenital/Developmental disorders, Depressive disorders, Eating disorders, Hallucinations, Obsessive/Compulsive disorder, Panic attacks, Personality disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder, Profound impulse control issues, Psychotic disorders, Schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, Self-harming behaviors, Severe intellectual disabilities, Sexual disorders, Substance related disorder, Suicidal behavior - Ideation/attempts, Survivor of abuse and violence, Restraints-application, Restraints/restrictive devices, Use of seclusion, Obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature), Room/patient safety checks, Behavior management techniques, Crisis intervention, De-escalation techniques, Managing assaultive behavior, Milieu management, Therapeutic communication skills. Weekend required: Yes. On-call required? No. Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? As needed within service line. Floating req to sister facilities: No. Holiday requirements: Yes, if holiday falls on scheduled days. Open to accommodating block schedule? No. Locals accepted: No. Local radius rule: No, home address must be at least 75 miles from facility. Pending state license accepted: No. RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days. Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks. The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the contractor personnel is assigned. Special requirements: Will take adult or peds BH work history. Acute inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric units caring for patients ages 3-18. Onsite pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, RNs, and behavioral health technicians. Nursing teams of RNs and behavioral health technicians are onsite 24/7. Physician teams and therapy teams are onsite for business hours. MANDT or CPI is required. MANDT will be provided if needed; BLS and first aid are required and will be provided if needed. Type of facility: Pediatric psychiatric hospital. Magnet/teaching/level trauma (if applicable): MAGNET. Total staffed beds: 46 beds. Scrub color: RNs – navy blue. Techs – pewter gray. Charting: EPIC.
