Job Title: Clinical Psychologist, LCSW or LMFT
Location: Fresno, CA
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $95 - $100/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Clinical Psychologist, LCSW or LMFT for a temporary assignment in Fresno, CA. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Clinical Psychologist:
Provide oversight and management of therapeutic and mental health care within the inpatient behavioral health setting
Support evidence-based treatments and provide guidance to mental health professionals for appropriate treatment delivery
Direct, supervise, and evaluate utilization management, therapeutic interventions, case management, and discharge planning functions
Apply clinical knowledge and skills including psychological testing, diagnosis, crisis intervention, individual, and/or group psychotherapy
Ensure knowledge of and compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, Title 22, COBRA, etc.)
Maintain knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and standards related to client treatment, patient rights, and confidentiality
Administer Human Resources policies and procedures
Enforce safety policies and procedures
Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with patients, staff, physicians, and management
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Plan, organize, and direct the work of others
Apply strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Train staff and gather information needed to streamline processing
Demonstrate skills related to management, planning, budgeting, and quality improvement
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures
Provide support in emergency departments as needed
Participate in rotating weekend on-call coverage
Adapt to occasional schedule adjustments as operational needs arise
Maintain valid state licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist License)
Hold a Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Therapy, or related field, or a PhD in Behavioral Health, Social Welfare, or related field
Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility as operational needs arise
