Job description
To support the Global Muslim Studies Division, the part-time Behavioral Scientist will design and execute empirical research studies, manage data collection, and conduct advanced statistical analyses, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Design and execute experimental studies and surveys using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
Lead complex data collection initiatives, including qualitative interviews and focus groups
Author and co-author academic papers, journal articles, and other high-level deliverables
Required qualifications
PhD or Master's degree in Sociology, Economics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Criminology, Islamic Studies, or Education
Strong proficiency in statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, MPlus, R, or Python
Expertise in using Qualtrics for survey design and academic libraries for literature reviews
Understanding of foundational Islamic ideas, concepts, and principles
Demonstrated ability to produce academically rigorous work suitable for peer review
