Coach Position at Alpine Academy
At Alpine Academy, our coaches partner with clinical and academic professionals to help transform lives. Working in a home-like residential setting for adolescent boys, you'll build genuine relationships with teens who need consistency, structure, and firm, steady leadership as much as they need empathy.
This role is built for someone who brings a strong, grounded presence to the floor. We're looking for someone who teens will respect the moment they walk in the room–not because they're intimidating, but because they're calm, confident, and clearly in control of the environment. If you've got a security, corrections, military, coaching, or law enforcement-adjacent background, this may be a great fit! With us, your skill set will create lasting impact for teens.

Schedule & Benefits
Our coaches work when teens need them most — evenings, weekends, and holidays. Because our team provides round-the-clock care and supervision, reliability is essential and we maintain a strict attendance policy.
Schedule
• Evenings, weekends and holidays- if kids are out of school then they're working with you!
• Typically 40–45 hours per week
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours over 40
• Company holidays paid at 2x

What You'll Do
• Hold a strong, active presence in a residential home with up to 10 teens- fostering a safe, responsive, and proactive environment
• Respond decisively to escalating behaviors with trained, verbal interventions only using hands-on training when absolutely necessary
• Deliver therapeutic teaching and coaching using the Teaching-Family Model, including role-play, skill-building, and real-time feedback
• Implement individualized treatment plans, behavior protocols, and student goals in daily routines
• Build trauma-informed relationships grounded in empathy, consistency, and accountability
• Support students through daily living activities including hygiene, meals, chores, recreation, and bedtime routines
• Administer medications following Alpine Academy's protocols
• Document student progress and incidents clearly and promptly
• Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and ongoing professional development
• Work toward and maintain Teaching-Family Model certification
We're looking for someone who:
• Has a calm presence and won't lose their cool when a child gets loud, physical, or unpredictable.
• Has a physically confident, capable presence and isn't rattled by confrontation or physical intervention
• Leads with authority and holds boundaries with total consistency- students feel safe when they know the line won't move
• Stays composed and decisive when things escalate quickly
• Is empathetic and patient, while understanding that real care sometimes means delivering hard consequences
• Takes ownership of the environment- you notice what needs handling and you handle it
• Is a collaborative team player who holds themselves and others to a high professional standard
• Adapts fast in a dynamic environment and brings steadiness when things get unpredictable
Requirements
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Utah driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
• Must pass a Residential Treatment level background check
• Physical ability to actively monitor youth, perform restraints, and administer CPR
• Comfortable using Microsoft, Google, and CRM software
