Job description

Bench Welder - 2nd ShiftWe are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. As a Bench Welder - 2nd Shift, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.Responsibilities not limited to:Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal componentsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawingsUse basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal piecesOperate various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and calipersAssemble and weld components according to specificationsInspect finished products for quality and accuracyCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflowAdhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environmentSkills - To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick weldingKnowledge of ductwork fabrication and installationAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in measurementsFamiliarity with operating press brake machines is a plusBasic math skills for measurements and calculationsAbility to use calipers for precise measurementsStrong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication processAt VMC Group and companies we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
