As an Employee Benefits Account Manager, youll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of employee benefits programs while delivering a high level of service and strategic support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building lasting client relationships, managing large-group benefit programs, and creating positive outcomes for employers and their employees.
Youll partner closely with producers, consultants, carriers, and internal teams to support the ongoing success of large employee benefit accounts. From renewals and implementations to compliance support and employee communications, youll play a key role in ensuring clients receive thoughtful guidance and exceptional service throughout the year.
Manage large-group employee benefit accounts, serving as the primary contact for day-to-day service needs and strategic account support.
Coordinate annual renewals by preparing proposals, conducting renewal analysis, negotiating with carriers, and overseeing implementation activities.
Support enrollment, eligibility, billing, claims, and carrier-related issues to ensure a seamless client experience.
Prepare client-facing presentations, claim reports, and benefit program recommendations that help clients make informed decisions.
Drive client retention efforts while identifying opportunities to expand existing account relationships and enhance benefit offerings.
Maintain accurate records and documentation within agency management systems to support efficient account administration.
Support open enrollment meetings and employee communication initiatives that promote understanding and engagement with benefit programs.
Client-focused and committed to delivering responsive, high-quality service.
An organized professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Comfortable analyzing data, interpreting benefit information, and presenting recommendations clearly.
5+ years of employee benefits account management experience supporting large-group clients with 100+ employees.
~ Strong knowledge of employee benefit plans, renewals, implementations, eligibility administration, billing, claims management, and carrier relations.
~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software applications.
~ Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
~ Experience supporting ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA-related administrative processes.
Experience preparing claims reports, utilization reviews, and renewal analysis for large-group clients.
Familiarity with agency management systems and benefits administration platforms.
