Location
Berkeley, California is the kind of place where intellectual energy and laid-back West Coast living actually coexist. You've got a walkable, character-filled city with tree-lined neighborhoods, incredible food (from legendary cheeseboard pizza nights to world-class global cuisine), and constant cultural buzz thanks to UC Berkeley's lectures, arts, and events. The outdoors is always within reach-sunsets over the Bay, hiking in Tilden Park, morning runs along the marina-while San Francisco is just a quick BART ride away when you want big-city energy.
