Job description
Custodian PositionA Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities, and collecting trash to ensure the building occupants have a clean space.A Custodian's main responsibility is to clean a workspace. This task is broken down into several duties performed throughout the day or at other regular intervals, such as:Emptying trash cansDusting all surfacesOrdering new cleaning supplies as neededWashing windowsMaintaining a thorough inventoryMust accurately complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.Must follow directives from supervisor/manager.Proactively seek additional work and provide status updates to supervisor.Other duties as assignedRequirementsMust be able to multitask efficiently and effectively.Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
