Bethpage, Long Island, New York, Endocrinologist Job

Permanent job opening
Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible endocrinologist
Open to experienced physicians and new graduates
One to three years of outpatient endocrinology experience preferred
ASAP start available; future start dates accommodated for physicians completing training
Outpatient-only opportunity
Shared telephone call approximately every six weeks
No hospital responsibilities
Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of endocrine conditions
Provide comprehensive diabetes care with support from certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians
Perform physical examinations, order diagnostic testing, and develop individualized treatment plans
Prescribe medications and provide ongoing disease management and preventive health recommendations
Deliver patient-centered care that addresses patients' physical and psychosocial needs
Maintain complete and accurate medical records
Collaborate with the clinical team and participate in educational programs and staff meetings
Team-based environment with RN support, a dedicated MA (1:1), and an APP
APP practices independently
Multispecialty group with multiple specialties onsite
Patient population includes commercially insured, Medicaid, and Medicare patients, as well as underserved communities
EMR: Epic
MD, DO, or foreign equivalent required
Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship required before starting
Board certified or truly board eligible in internal medicine and endocrinology
Active, unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility for licensure required
DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll
BLS or ACLS required; both strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in population health management
Comfortable using an EMR and Microsoft Office

Annual base salary range: $320,000-$360,000
RVU incentive opportunity
Compensation based on experience, education, training, internal equity, and market conditions; new hires may not start at the top of the range
