Job TitleSunny Sky Products prides itself on our commitment and dedication to creating, manufacturing and delivering top quality products in the beverage industry. We have generated an extensive product portfolio that includes frozen dispensed beverages, cold dispensed, hot dispensed and beverage enhancers.The Company is seeking an organized, deadline-oriented, self-starter to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal candidate must possess excellent attention to detail; be able to read, write, understand, and speak English; and be able to handle raw ingredients. This position will be actively involved in the Company Food Safety and Quality program, production, some receiving, and the long-term and short-term goals of the facility. Ability to work as part of a team is essential. This position performs daily inspections of production equipment and product to ensure the highest standards are being met and maintained. Follows established procedures to correct deficiencies identified to meet food safety/quality standards.ResponsibilitiesFollows appropriate quality testing procedures and takes action to meet product specifications (i.e., product testing, label review, in-process testing).Monitors the facility during operations to assure sanitation conditions are maintained.Monitors the facility during operations to assure quality programs are being maintained (i.e., Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Food Quality).Performs pre-operational inspections on equipment daily to ensure sanitation was completed properly. Follows established procedures to take corrective action if deficiencies are observed to ensure equipment meets quality standards.Audits process control points to ensure all system controls have been achieved. Follows established procedures to correct deficiencies when observed to ensure equipment meets quality standards.Monitors and maintains records of wastewater being processed to ensure proper tracking and documentation.Ensures all audits, test results, and inspections are documented on the appropriate forms daily.Ensures workspace is kept clean and organized at all times.Completes other tasks as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent educational documentation (GED) required1–3 years of experience working in the food or beverage industry preferred4-year degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in the food industry in a Quality Assurance position or lab is a plusHACCP training preferredMust have the ability to use a computer and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software for department reporting and record keepingEffective communication skills, as the technician interacts with peers and upper managementFluency in Spanish is a plus but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentThis role requires extended periods of standingAt times, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.HoursFull-time jobMonday–Friday, 9:00 PM–5:30 AMWeekend availability as needed (Saturdays will be rotated)Salary$18.50/hrNew Hire Bonus Program up to $500.00BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision CoverageLife Insurance10 Paid HolidaysPTO – Vacation Time or sick time401K Program and Company Match up to 3.5%Company STD & LTD (Short-term & Long-term Disability)Perfect Attendance Monthly Bonus Program up to $100.00Employee Referral Bonus Program up to $500.00Sunny Sky Products is an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
