Job description

We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Beverage Service Bartender. The Beverage Service Bartender is responsible for serving guests at our front bars and fulfilling drink orders for the dining room, monitoring the cash drawer at the bar and performing alcohol inventories at the end of each night to help in maintaining proper inventory levels. Always presents a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

Provides impeccable guest service to all guests

Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required.

Ensures the bar is adequately stocked thought out shift.

Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash and charge sales according to established procedure. Checks out with leadership before leaving shift.

Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.

Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.

Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.

Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.

Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. One or more years’ beverage service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required; nightclub experience preferred.

Casino experience preferred.

One or more years’ guest service experience required.

Must be able to handle several projects and tasks at the same time.

Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Food & Beverage team members.

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
