Job description
Employee will be under the programmatic supervision of the Director of Medical Services. APRN will maintain a collaborating physician and supervisory agreement for the purpose of prescribing medication as required by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
nnnConduct psychiatric evaluations.
n
nnProvide medications/prescription management; and complete reports and related documentation to health care facilities.
n
nnMaintain a KASPER account with a delegate.
n
nnPerform psychiatric review and sign all treatment plans as required by regulatory and funding agencies.
n
nnPsychiatric consultations
n
nnAdmission psychiatric histories within regulatory time frames.
n
nnDiagnosis
n
nnAdminister injectable medications as indicated.
n
nnPrepare and update treatment plans, goals, and objectives.
n
nnParticipate in discharge planning and referrals.
n
nnWork as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to include outpatient psychiatric services at the Pennyroyal Center
n
nnLead and/or participate in weekly treatment team meeting.
n
nnMaintains current knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, hospital regulations and provides all services in compliance with the latter regulations.
n
n nRequired Skills
nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
n• Master's degree or higher in nursing with a university identified major in psychiatric and mental health nursing with ANCC board certification in psychiatric mental health nursing.
n• Must maintain an active RN license in Kentucky and hold APRN credentials.
n• Experience with an Adult Psychiatric clients
n• Must possess a valid driver's license, and provide proof of automobile insurance.
n• Must pass a required Criminal Record Check and a Sexual Offender Registry check.
n• BLS Certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
nRequired Experience
n• Experience with Adult Psychiatric Clients.
