nBike Mechanic I – Lancaster, PA

nnCome join a fast-growing startup with a community first approach to micro mobility. We work side by side with partner cities as trusted advisors helping them build successful bike share, kayak, and lawn game programs that truly serve their communities.

nWe partner with Movatic , a premium software platform that makes it easy for people to rent bikes, scooters, and other shared assets, while giving cities and operators the tools they need to manage their systems seamlessly.

nWe're excited to be operating stations throughout Lancaster, PA and believe our service will make bike share programs more accessible, reliable, and easy to use for the community. You'll be a working mechanic and technician, keeping operations running smoothly and safe across locations.

nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, thrives in an outdoor environment, and is passionate about safe recreation and operational excellence.

nOpportunity

nnWe're looking for a professional bicycle mechanic who is passionate about bikes, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys being part of something that makes a real local impact.

nYou'll perform general maintenance and safety checks on the fleet helping keep the system safe, dependable, and ready to ride.

nWe'll make sure you have the support you need to do the job efficiently and successfully.

nYour primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance and repairs on bicycles, assist with inventory, and possibly some kayak repairs.

n nResponsibilities

nnAssist with the assembly, quality control, and deployment of bicycles as they are built, tuned, and prepared for riders

nPerform routine maintenance and on-demand repairs across the fleet

nRebalance the fleet to help ensure bikes are available where riders need them most

nMaintain a strong sense of ownership over the fleet and the condition of each bike

n nMechanical Qualifications

nnA basic set of bike tools and hands-on repair experience

nIdeally, access to a mobile repair stand and indoor space to store and work on bikes

nAbility to perform some repairs on-site and outdoors as needed

nWe're not necessarily looking for a master mechanic with every tool but we do need someone who can deliver safe, high-quality, repeatable work and hold themselves to a high standard

nAbility to comfortably lift and transport multiple 50-pound bikes, depending on operational needs

nAbility to use a smartphone and camera for communication via calls, text, and email

n nProfessional Qualifications

nnSelf-motivated and able to stay accountable to goals and manage your own schedule

nStrong communication skills and willingness to provide updates and context

nFlexible and able to work with changing schedules and workloads

nDetail-oriented, practical, and able to make sound decisions independently

nAble to think critically about what operations may need to know about the system not just respond to direct requests

nComfortable serving as a professional, friendly public face while out in the field

n nWhy You'll Love This Role

nAs a Mechanic you'll play a key role in keeping our bikeshare and kayak programs safe, reliable, and enjoyable across multiple communities. You'll bring hands-on technical expertise, and strong coordination to maintain high standards, and keep fleets ready for riders every day. If you take pride in doing things the right way and want your work to directly improve sustainable, safe mobility, this role makes a real impact.

nIn addition to competitive compensation, you'll enjoy:

nnRoom to grow with us as programs expand, there may be opportunities to manage more bikes, support multiple programs, or transition into other areas of the organization

n nWork Location

nThis role is not remote and involves hands-on, in-field work in the Lancaster, PA and surrounding communities with on the road maintenance checks.
