Bilingual Physician Support SpecialistThe Bilingual Physician Support Specialist travels with an assigned Physician between our Tampa and Riverview offices weekly and maintains effective and organized systems to ensure effective scheduling and timely patient flow. Provides a smooth and pleasant patient experience and ensures physician's office schedule is organized and efficient. This is an administrative role, NOT a clinical or Medical Assistant role.Essential Responsibilities:Coordinates Physician's schedule to maximize efficiency between clinics, surgeries, meetings, and conference calls and administratively assists to keep Provider on task to ensure smooth workflow and continuity of appointmentsCommunicates effectively and flexibly responds to changing demands.Triages telephone messages and returns calls to provide timely answers to patients/physicians/pharmacies/attorneys, etc.Collaborates with coworkers, management, patients, visitors, and Physicians to achieve Practice goals.Rooms, interviews, and transports patients via wheelchair making appointment and scheduling adjustments as required.Addresses scheduling, authorization, and billing issues with an appropriate sense of urgency to ensure prompt and successful resolutions.Performs other non-clinical duties as directed or assigned.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 2-3 years related experience working in an orthopedic spine practice, pain management center, clinic, or hospital preferredBilingual verbal and written (English/Spanish) requiredTranslates patient discussions/documents between Spanish and English-speaking patients, physicians, and clinical staff as authorized by HIPAAAbility to reliably travel between Tampa and Riverview as clinic schedule dictatesIntermediate experience with AllScripts EHR and Microsoft SuiteWorks effectively both independently and as a team member with physicians, management, and other staffProvides excellent patient care, exceptional customer service, and practices professional telephone etiquetteUtilizes good judgment, willingness to learn, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsRemains calm under pressure and manages time efficiently in fast-paced, constantly changing environmentSuperior attention to detail, accurate written skills, and concise verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, AllScripts PM/EHR, and Phreesia softwareAble to effectively understand, follow, and communicate oral and written instructions in English. Must read, write, and speak English fluently to ensure clear work-related communication and patient safetyPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely push and maneuver occupied wheelchairs up to 75 pounds of force.Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Able to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk while working on a computer, standing, walking, and navigating hallways, elevators, and outdoor walkways.Inclusive, Equal Opportunity Employer
