Legara partners with a long-standing FQHC in Campo, CA to bring high-quality mental health care to a predominantly low-income, Spanish-speaking community facing real barriers to specialty care. We handle credentialing, scheduling, billing, and admin while you focus entirely on patients.
What makes this role different:
Guaranteed pay floor of $1,940/week while your schedule ramps up so your compensation is consistent during the ramp-up period
No self-booking, no nights, no weekends, no after-hours inbox. Your schedule is yours: choose full days or half days, and adjust with notice
Total earning potential of $100,000–$168,000/year, encounter-based once your caseload is full
Consulting psychologist available for clinical guidance, plus a collaborative care team (primary care, behavioral health, case management)
Meaningful clinical work: you'll support patients with moderate-to-severe mood disorders and substance use disorders who often have nowhere else to turn for specialty behavioral health care
$100/day travel reimbursement for your 2-3 required in-person clinic days, with 2 remote days built into every week
What we need from you:
Unrestricted California license (LMFT, LCSW, or Psychologist)
Fluent medical Spanish
Comfort with a fast-paced FQHC model (30-minute follow-ups, ~10-11 encounters per in-person day) and safety-net populations (Medi-Cal, uninsured)
Strong tech comfort: Epic, telehealth tools, virtual phone systems
Residency in California, with the ability to be on-site in Campo, CA 2-3 days/week (~60-90 min from San Diego)

This is a 1099 contractor role, not W2: you'll carry your own malpractice policy ($1M/$3M) and receive a 1099-K annually.
Pay is encounter-based at $60/encounter with the $1,940/week guarantee protecting you while your schedule fills (credentialing typically takes 4-8 weeks before training begins).
We're upfront about this because we want clinicians who've thought it through and are confident it works for their situation, not surprised by it three weeks in.
