Bilingual ReceptionistA respected nonprofit organization in Downtown Houston is seeking a Bilingual Receptionist to provide front desk support and administrative assistance during a maternity leave coverage assignment. This role requires a professional, compassionate, and highly organized individual who is fluent in both English and Spanish and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.Company/Industry: NonprofitTemp: Starts Mid-October before employee leaves for Maternity leave (Mid-October – January 30, 2027)Location: Downtown – Houston, TXParking: ValidatedHours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pmPay: $20 - $22/hourIdeal CandidateThe client is seeking someone who is:Highly organized with exceptional multitasking abilitiesFriendly, compassionate, and professional when interacting with clients and visitorsAdaptable and able to handle changing prioritiesSkilled in time management and prioritizationComfortable working with sensitive and confidential informationProfessional in appearance, communication, and customer service approachSummaryThe Receptionist answers the telephone, greets clients, and provides some limited administrative support for the organization's staff. The Receptionist also handles all administrative support for the Executive Assistant to the CEO/Office Manager.ResponsibilitiesProvides Front Desk ManagementAnswer the telephone and direct calls to the appropriate parties according to established front-desk proceduresProvide basic, general information to callers about company and route program-specific inquiries and department-specific inquiries to the appropriate program or department staff memberGreet clients and visitors and notify staff of arrivalProcess incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and faxesMaintain a bin system for staff mailMaintain staff in/out boardEnsure the lobby and front desk area remain professional and tidy in appearanceAssist with administering the telephone and voice messaging systemAssist with managing parking tickets and validationsAssist with revising front desk procedures as directedProvides General Support for OrganizationMaintain office supplies, including door name platesMaintain office machines and request service in a timely manner on an as-needed basisOrder printing, including stationery and business cardsOrder coffee supplies and kitchen supplies and maintain coffee service and kitchen areaServe as a point of contact for facilities, including security and parkingProvide administrative support for management staff as neededCopy and collate materials as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certification requiredAssociate's Degree – PreferredMinimum of three (3) years' experience as a receptionist requiredBilingual in English and Spanish requiredAbility to work in a confidential environment, dealing with sensitive information, and maintain high level of confidentialityAppreciation of diversity and a sensitivity to people of varying lifestyles, ethnicity, and religious groupsProficiency with Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of copy machines and other general office equipmentPolished and professional telephone skills and clear speaking voiceDependable transportation
