Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role requires a strong commitment to providing quality care and support, utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavioral changes.
Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and interventions.
Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately in accordance with medical documentation standards.
Provide support in daily living activities to enhance clients' independence.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Experience
Previous experience in special education or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and behavioral health concepts is beneficial.
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques is essential for success in this role.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth within the field of behavioral therapy is expected.
