Job description

Billing/Collections PositionPerforms all types of billing, collection and follow up functions for direct, third party and government patient accounts and serves as a resource and trainer to others in the area with minimal supervision. This individual is able to readily identify and respond to claim denial trends, postings error trends and/or complex inquiry calls for the purpose of routing.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they're invaluable. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Required Qualifications:2 years of Patient Accounting experience in a physician office, hospital, or medical collections or equivalent knowledge and ability to execute essential functions of this job description.Extensive Customer Service Skills as well as computer application.Third party follow-up, government follow-up, patient collections, account resolution, billing, and/or cash applications.Preferred Qualifications:Coursework/Training and 1 year of college.
