Ambulance Billing/Coding AssociateThe Ambulance Billing/Coding Associate is responsible and accountable for timely insurance billing, insurance follow-up and monitoring denials. Review and enter Ambulance charges and assign ICD-10 codes for ambulance accounts.Job Requirements:Education: High school diploma or GED required.Experience: 1 year of customer service or insurance related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certification: National Academy of Professional Ambulance Coding Certificate preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.Other:Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.Basic computer and office equipment skills required.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to operate effectively in a team as well as independently, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships is required.Safety Sensitive Designation: NoPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation.
